Undoubtedly recent history of Hawara Pyramid Site has been well attached to the name of the Modern British Archaeologist, Flinders Petrie due to his substantial work and discoveries of the site. Yet, Petrie's work in Hawara Brought diverse and contrasting reviews and perspectives. While many refer to the wealth of collections filling world museums, others looked at the aggressive approach towards the site during his missions and huge loss of its artefact. This section will offer a series of investigations of the work of Flinders Petrie's missions and discoveries in Hawara. It will offer a critical narratives of his work, accounts and reviews of these missions.
This section is not designed to either celebrate or condemn Hawara discoveries or loss, it will attempt to reflect and bring together those accounts that help us understand the modern history of Hawara discoveries; different missions, what was discovered and where the collections went.
